E360S Acquires Marcotte Disposal and Transco Recycling, Marking Its Entry into the United States

Aurora, Ontario

Environmental 360 Solutions Inc. (E360S) has announced the acquisition of Marcotte Disposal Co., Marcotte Disposal Inc., and Transco Recycling Inc. — collectively known as Marcotte Disposal — a waste collection and transfer operation serving the Greater Sarnia, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan regions. The deal marks E360S's first entry into the United States.

Marcotte Disposal has been run by the Kaplin family since 1993, when Charlie Kaplin acquired the business. Today, Charlie's daughter Tracey Kaplin leads the company alongside President Michael Griffin, under whose combined stewardship the operation has grown to offer residential curbside collection, front end and roll-off dumpster services, and waste transfer operations on both sides of the border.

The acquisition carries a personal dimension for E360S founder and CEO Donato Ardellini, who first met Charlie Kaplin in 2006 when the family was weighing the company's future. "At that time, he decided to continue building the business and entrust it to his daughter, Tracey — a decision that speaks to the pride and dedication of the entire Marcotte team," said Ardellini. "Today, I want to sincerely thank Tracey for placing her trust in E360S to carry forward that legacy. We are incredibly excited to welcome Tracey, Michael, and every member of the Marcotte team to the E360S family."

For E360S, the acquisition represents more than a geographic expansion — it opens the door to the U.S. market as the company pursues its stated goal of becoming North America's leading and most trusted environmental management company. E360S now serves over 800,000 municipal, commercial, and industrial customers across Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and the State of Michigan.
